This week Crime Solvers is asking for your help to solve the theft of a computer in Petersburg.

The victim parked her vehicle in front of her home in the 1900 block of Westover Avenue on the evening of Tuesday, March 13th. The following morning, at about 7:40 AM, she discovered that someone had entered the vehicle and searched through it. The only item taken was the computer - a Dell Latitude D620 laptop model. It is grey and black in color and valued at over $2,100.00.

Crime Solvers pays rewards of up to $1,000.00 in cash for information that leads to an arrest. A separate reward is being offered for the safe return of this computer. This week Crime Solvers is asking for your help on a major jewelry theft in Petersburg.

At about 12:50 PM on Thursday, January 11th, gift shop staff members at Southside Regional Medical Center noticed an entire tray of rings missing from the jewelry case. The tray contained more than 30 rings of various styles and sizes. The total value of this theft exceeds $8,000.00.

The suspect is a black female who was wearing a flight jacket with a hood and fur collar at the time. She had her hair pulled back into a bun. This suspect was in the company of 2 other black females at the time of the theft.

An unsolved murder in Petersburg is the focus of this week's Crime Solvers spot.

At 6:40 AM on Wednesday, November 8th of last year, police were called about a man lying on the ground outside Lowry Tire Company at 126 North Crater Road. Officers discovered ROBERT L. BRASWELL, JR., the owner of the business, in the front parking lot. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In canvassing the area, a witness was found who had heard gunfire at approximately 6:30 AM - just about 10 minutes before police were called. No motive for this senseless crime has been determined and we are again asking for your help to solve it.

A malicious wounding in Dinwiddie County is the focus of this week's Crime Solvers spot.

At about 10:45pm on Friday, December 22nd Deputies responded to the intersection of Bancroft and Mansfield Drives in Mansfield Subdivision where they found a male subject laying in the roadway suffering from multiple stab wounds. Witnesses say that the victim confronted a group of individuals that were gathered in the roadway at that location and an altercation ensued. The victim was stabbed multiple times and the suspects fled the scene.

Authorities have some leads in this case but your assistance is needed to bring this case to a close.
