This week Crime Solvers is asking for your help to solve an assault that occurred in the Mckenney area of Dinwiddie County.

On Thursday August 16th, the suspect entered a mobile home sales office in the town of Mckenney under the pretense of looking at mobile homes for sale. Once alone in the mobile home with the female victim, the suspect placed a rag soaked with some type of chemical over the victim's face and assaulted her. During the scuffle, the victim scratched and bit the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 45 years old, six feet tall, 150lbs with dark brown hair, mustache and goatee. The suspect was driving a 2 door Saturn vehicle dark grey in color with temporary license plates.

This week Crime Solvers is asking for your help on an attempted murder case that happened over the weekend in Petersburg.

As the 2 victims drove out of the Valero gas station located at 1740 Boydton Plank Road, a young man standing at the edge of the road fired a single gun shot into their car at point blank range. This happened at about 11:05 PM this past Saturday, August 18th. Luckily, neither man was struck by the bullet.

This suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his early to mid-teens, about 5'3" tall. He was wearing a large white T-shirt and dark pants.

An armed robbery in broad daylight in Petersburg is the focus of this week's Crime Solvers spot.

At 12:05 PM this past Monday, August 13th, a lone gunman robbed the CVS store located at 3330 South Crater Road - in the South Crater Shopping Center. The suspect immediately approached the on-duty clerk upon entering the front of the store and demanded the money from the cash register at gun point.

This suspect is described as a black male in his late 20's or early 30's, about 6'2" tall, 180 lbs. He had a medium brown complexion and was wearing dark sunglasses, a T-shirt and blue jeans. He left the scene walking northbound through the shopping center.

A break in at a grocery store was reported to the Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Office and we're asking for your help to solve it.

During the night time hours of June 30th The Hungry Bear Store located at the intersection of Courthouse Road and Route 40 in the southern end of Dinwiddie County was broken into. Thieves used a pry tool to enter the front door of the store. Once inside the store a small safe, its contents and various tobacco products were taken. The break in was discovered the next morning when the owners opened the store for business.

A senior citizen was robbed at gun point in Petersburg and Crime Solvers needs your help to identify the suspect involved.

At about 1:00 PM last Friday, July 27th, the victim was sitting in her car at the Burgess Shopping Center parking lot in the 2500 block of South Crater Road. The suspect walked up to her car, threatened her with a black revolver, and demanded money. The victim wisely gave up her purse and the suspect ran South behind Quail Oaks Apartments.

The suspect is described as a young looking black male - possibly in his late teens or early 20's. He appeared to be about 5'5" tall, possibly 120 lbs., and was wearing an orange shirt.
