Petersburg police are asking for your help on a shooting case that sent a man to the hospital.

While on routine patrol at about 11:50 PM this past Sunday, October 28th, an officer heard several gun shots in the 2700 block of South Crater Road. Further investigation led to the recovery of 1 handgun, a shell casing from a different gun, and a parked car damaged by gunfire.

A short time later, a man showed up at Southside Regional Medical Center with a gun shot wound to his leg. He claimed to have been walking toward The Classics Restaurant when he heard gunfire and realized he had been shot.

This week Crime Solvers is asking for your help to locate a fugitive - MCDEVILAN MANDEL JONES.

Warrants are on file in Dinwiddie County charging MR. JONES with murder in connection with the shooting death of Stanley Green in September. MCDEVILAN JONES - known by the nickname "MAC" - is a 30 year old black male, 5'10" tall, about 165 lbs. His last known address was in the 200 block of New Street, Petersburg.

Authorities consider him to be ARMED & EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!

Crime Solvers is asking for your help to clear a violent armed robbery in Petersburg.

Police were called to the 800 block of Fort Henry Street at 10:23 PM on Monday, October 8th. The victim advised that he had just arrived home and was getting out of his car when he was approached by the 2 armed suspects. They told him to "give it up" but instead he ran. He was caught, struck on the head and robbed. The victim required medical attention for his injury.

These suspects are described as black males, possibly in their early 20's, about 6'1" tall, slender built with dark complexions. They both wore black hooded sweatshirts. One of them had a goatee.

Warrants are on file in Petersburg charging MR. BROWN in connection with multiple armed robberies that have been committed during the last month.

MONTA BROWN is an 18 year old black male with a light brown complexion, 6'2" tall, weighing about 200 lbs. His last known address was in the 2100 block of Jamestown Road, Petersburg. Police consider him to be ARMED AND DANGEROUS!

An armed robbery - in broad daylight - in Petersburg is the focus of this week's Crime Solvers spot.

At 2:25 PM on Tuesday, September 25th, 3 Hispanic males entered My Little Mexico convenience store at 2645A County Drive and announced a robbery. They took cash and a large quantity of pre-paid phone cards.

All the suspects were between 18 and 25 years of age and each wore a dark polo shirt. Only one was armed with a handgun. They fled westbound on County Drive in a dark green Pontiac Bonneville.
