This week Petersburg/ Dinwiddie Crime Solvers wish you a happy holiday and a hearty thank you! Over the past year we have had over 350 calls helping us to clear almost 100 cases with 67 arrest and nearly 200 total charges. This year we have paid well over $5,000 in rewards and your financial help is needed as we move into the new year.

This week Crime Solvers needs your help locating Kenneth Terrell Ellsworth involved in an abduction and rape of a teenager. We first ran this case in September, but we know he is still in the community.

On July 27, 2008 in Petersburg's Pin Oaks community, a 15 year old female walking in the complex was abducted and forced into a green Cadillac around 4:00 p.m. For several hours, the suspect drove her around the city finally stopping at an unknown location in the Walnut Hill area. At this point he sexually assaulted her until 11:00 the next morning.

Kenneth Ellsworth is a 26 year old black male, 5'3, 150 pounds. He has indictments on file for this violent sexual assault on a juvenile.

If you know the whereabouts of Kenneth Ellsworth, or you have information about any crime or fugitive in the Petersburg or Dinwiddie County area, call Crime Solvers at 804-861-1212. This week Crime Solvers needs your help with an unsolved homicide.

On July 4, 2007, 50 year old Ricky Dabney attended a party in the 700 block of W. Washington St. and that was the last time he was seen alive. The next day, his body was discovered in a field at 646 W. Washington Street. He had been shot twice. There are persons of interest in the case, however more details are needed to make an arrest.

This week Crime Solvers needs your help identifying burglars.

Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Office is investigating three break ins to the same business in the last several weeks. Between October 23rd and December 2nd, Dinwiddie Sporting Goods located in the 7800 Block of Boydton Plank Road has been broken into and vandalized. On the first two occasions, thieves made off with numerous handguns, on the third break in they left empty handed but did damage the building. We need your help to get these criminals and stolen guns off of the street.
